Erica L. Saltzman

I have elected to focus my practice on helping those elder and dependent adults who need and deserve our help. To do this, we seek compensation for our clients in cases of neglect and financial abuse of elders and dependent adults against skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and RCFEs (assisted living). My practice also includes litigation of medical malpractice, negligence, violation of patient’s rights, and wrongful death claims. Prior to this current focus of my practice, I also practiced in cases related to defense of skilled nursing facilities in elder law and medical malpractice litigation. My business partner, Tom Allen, and I have tried several high exposure, multi- party trials. More generally, my prior litigation experience includes:

  • Elder law and medical malpractice
  • Construction defect defense
  • Consumer litigation, including actions involving the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, Unfair Business Practices, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • Lemon law, including actions brought under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act
  • Real estate litigation; Land use matters
  • Landlord tenant issues, including numerous Unlawful Detainer trials;
  • Various general civil litigation matters

I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. I then attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law, from which I received a Juris Doctorate.

I am licensed to practice in California and Washington D.C., as well as in the United States District Court, Southern District of California.

I am proud to have been awarded and honored with:

  • Super Lawyers, Rising Star, 2017-2019
